LSSE completed a Water System Study for the Brighton Township Municipal Authority (BTMA) in order to evaluate the BTMA water system and identify physical and/or operational improvements necessary to maintain a high standard of water service and provide for future development. The Study included evaluation of existing system; review of pertinent reports and studies; estimation of future growth; development of a water system hydraulic model; identification and analysis of improvement alternatives; estimation of probable improvement costs; and presentation of the study findings.

Upon completion of the study, LSSE prepared plans and specifications, performed field surveys and construction phase engineering services for the water system improvements including upgrade of existing pump station; construction of a new water pump station and elevated storage tank; demolition of existing steel standpipes; construction of a welded steel stand pipe, foundation, valve pit; cleaning and painting of two existing storage tanks; and installation of 4 miles of water pumping and distribution mains and installation of a centralized telemetry / control / monitoring system (SCADA) for all pumping and storage facilities.
