Client: Collier Township
Location: Collier Township, Allegheny County, PA

LSSE provided design and permitting services to the Township of Collier for the phased development of the Collier Community Park based on the Master Plan prepared by Environmental Planning and Design (EPD). The park is located on property of the former Charles E. Kelly Support Facility. Ten structures at the former Support Facility were demolished in Spring 2012 in preparation for construction.

Phase I of the project included constructing basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, a Dek hockey rink, multipurpose fields, playgrounds and picnic areas. The next phase was the Community Center phase, which included renovation of an existing 25,000 square foot building to function as a community center and a new attached 10,670-square foot gymnasium.

LSSE prepared plans and specifications for demolition of the existing buildings, design and permitting for the infrastructure (gas, electric, sanitary and water service), design/redesign of parking areas, design of storm water facilities, preparation of plans and specifications for courts and fields, and design services for the Share the Road portion of the project that connects the Collier Community Park to the Panhandle Trail.

Construction Value: $8.5 million
