LSSE provided engineering and surveying services for Scott Township’s pool replacement project. Due to accelerated deterioration of Scott Township’s former pool, the Township decided to replace the structure with a new pool for the 2016 season. The Township retained the professional services of a pool consultant, James P. Goldman, AIA, to help select a new pool layout and structure. The Township also formed an Ad Hoc Resident Committee to develop a plan for replacing the pool. The pool consultant and committee conducted meetings and developed a pool replacement plan, which included demolition of the existing pool structure; construction of a replacement pool with a new pump and filter building, storage and chlorination; and related site improvements. The project schedule required the work to be completed in mid-April, allowing enough time for the pool to be cleaned and reopened in time for Memorial Day.

LSSE’s services included site topographic surveys, conceptual plan development and cost estimating, preparation of construction plan drawings, permitting, bid phase and general project services, and resident project representative services during construction. The new pool opened on schedule in May 2016.
