Coraopolis Water System Improvements

Coraopolis Water System Improvements

LSSE completed a Water System Master Plan including a comprehensive evaluation of existing water system facilities which was followed by computer modeling of the existing finished water storage and distribution system, permitting, and engineering and design phase services.

The project included a .70 MG welded steel reservoir and a .75 MG welded steel hydropillar (elevated storage tank), replacement of an existing booster station with a new .576 MGD booster station, replacement of approximately 13,600 LF (2.5+ miles) of transmission and distribution lines, and updates to the centralized telemetry/control/monitoring system Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) for the new pumping and storage facilities.

As a result of this project, unaccounted for water loss was reduced by over 50%.
