Elkhorn Run STP Final Clarifier Rehabilitation – Center Township Sanitary Authority (CTSA)

LSSE provided engineering design, permitting, and construction phase services for the rehabilitation of two 42-foot concrete final clarifiers at the Center Township Sanitary Authority (CTSA) Elkhorn Run Sewage Treatment Plant. The scope included full replacement of clarifier operating mechanisms within both basins — including walkways with handrails, center drive assembly and platform, support column, influent feed well, sludge collection arms with rake blades, surface scum skimming equipment, and associated electrical controls and conduit. Additional improvements included installation of a non-potable effluent water system, replacement of existing yard hydrants, installation of algae spray down systems, and miscellaneous concrete basin repairs.

Surveying services included topographic surveys and mechanical surveys of the existing concrete basins and operating mechanisms. LSSE also coordinated PaDEP correspondence for the rehabilitation of the existing clarifier mechanisms and provided training and startup support for all new equipment.
