Donohoe Road Sanitary Sewer Extension – Unity Township Municipal Authority
The general scope of work included assisting the Unity Township Municipal Authority (UTMA) with design, permitting, bidding services, contract administration, and construction observations for the multi-phase Donohoe Road Sanitary Sewer Extension project. The sewer extension project had the objective of providing sanitary sewer service to businesses and residents of the UTMA service area who currently did not possess public sewer service, eliminating private septic tanks and/or holding tanks to provide sanitary sewage treatment. analysis, LSSE performed H&H modeling, nighttime flow isolation studies, and cost-effectiveness analysis.
Phase 1
The scope of work consisted of new construction for approximately 4,200 linear feet of 8-inch diameter gravity sewer, 23 new manholes, three road crossings, one railroad crossing, State and Township roadway crossings, pavement restoration, private driveway and lawn restoration, and all necessary appurtenances for said construction. Phase 1 of the project ultimately provided sanitary sewer service to nine additional residential and commercial customers.
Phase 2
The scope of work consisted of the complete installation of approximately 1,300 linear foot of 8-inch diameter gravity sewer, seven manholes, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction. Phase 2 of the project ultimately provided sanitary sewer service to six additional residential and commercial customers.
