Hempfield Area School District Stormwater Management Improvements

LSSE provided surveying and engineering design services for stormwater management facility reconstruction and an impervious clay GCL pond liner for the Hempfield Area School District.

Scope of work included:

  • Topographic Survey
  • Design and permitting for the installation of 65,000 SF of pond liner, restoration of 600 LF of impervious lined swale, 200 LF grass lined swale, low flow channel, 270 LF of storm sewers and inlets to capture the stormwater from the practice fields and bituminous trench repair
  • CMP perforated pipe below stormwater facility along Route 136 to capture subsurface drainage below stormwater management facilities
  • Design and permitting of the existing stormwater pond below the old tennis courts along Route 136.  Construction of a forebay, regrading of the pond, and the installation of a new pond outlet structure
  • Technical specification preparation / contract administration; general project services; and construction phase services
